Relax and unwind in one of our 3 gites at la maison loufran, which we keep furnished and decorated to a high standard. Our tiny hamlet of le coeur de la ville is situated between the cathedral town of coutances and villedieu-les-poeles (god’s town of the frying pan), surrounded by normandy’s rolling countryside. jardin gite, semi-detached to our farmhouse, dates back to the 16th century - its open-plan, beamed living room has a large timbered hearth with a log-burning fire, giving you a flavour of a french-style traditional farmhouse. the kitchen area in all three gites includes a gas cooker, washing machine, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, and a variety of kitchen utensils. An open staircase leads to the shower room and three bedrooms, two with double beds, the third with two bunk-beds. Jardin gite has its own secluded garden together with garden furniture, allowing you to chill out and at last catch up on the some reading. adjoining the farmhouse are le poirier and le grenier gites in a tasteful barn conversion. Each has spacious open plan living rooms with log burning fires, and comfy sofas, tv, and midi-hi fi. Up the varnished timbered staircase you will find three spacious bedrooms, two with double beds, one with two singles. The generous bath rooms have a shower cubicle, wash basin, and toilets. each of the barn gites has separate patio areas accessed by glazed timbered doors, where you will find a peaceful venue to relax with your after-dinner drink on garden loungers or swinging seats. Separated by a low laurel hedge is the children’s secure play area with swings, climbing frame, see-saw, boules and plenty of space for a game of football. bed linen, hand and bath towels, tea towels, and utilities are included and supplied on a weekly basis. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our gites.

This vast area of stunning scenery still remains virtually unspoilt. It offers its visitors on the one hand pure relaxation and peace and on the other, the opportunity to explore the manche region of normandy. There are a host of leisure options and activities in our area for both young and old. Horse riding, golf tennis, outdoor swimming pool and many water sports. For the less active amongst us there are leisurely walks to enjoy and take in the surrounding countryside
